Jessica Buchleitner at Books Inc. Berkeley, CA with 50 Women, Book One

Jessica Buchleitner

I am a journalist specializing in international human rights, but I have written articles on various topics extending to business and finance. For pleasure I write short fiction and poetry.

In 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015, I served as an NGO delegate to the United Nations 56, 57, 58 and 59th annual sessions of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women.

I am currently on the Board of Directors of the San Francisco based NGO, Women’s Intercultural Network. We are consultative to the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).

Aside from everything else I do, I enjoy writing poetry and short fiction, climbing mountains, biking, reading books and anything else I can procure, cafes, foreign languages, ethnic food and situations where I am semi- awkwardly the only American in the room.
