My “madness”…

In 2009 I began the first assignment of my humanitarian ventures- my book entitled “50 Women”.  Here, I seek to present the stories of women from a minimum of 30 different countries who have struggled  and triumphed in ways that are only differentiated by culture. My goal is to prove to the world that despite our different cultures we are inherently faced with similar obstacles. A patchwork of the beautiful women dwelling in this world and their individual thoughts, memoirs and tribulations. I hope to bring to light important social issues in need of attention and action. I also hope the “50 Women” book will inspire other women in all corners of the world to triumph over adversity.

I have written for various publications and some of my work can be viewed by clicking here. In February 2012, I will serve as a delegate to the United Nations 56th Session of the UN Comission on the Status of Women.

This blog is my personal journal of my journey in compiling “50 Women”.
