Dialogue: An Israeli and Palestinian perspective

I’ve featured them in two recent blog articles and I am now pleased to bring video footage of two of the women interviewed for “50 Women” to this blog.

I had the recent experience of seeing both Tzvia Shelef and Sahar Nafal Kordahi speak on stage about their stories and experiences regarding the tumultuous and perpetual war between Israel and Palestine.

Tzvia, a recent cancer survivor served in the Israeli Defense Forces as a soldier in the war against Palestine and discusses her personal journey to shed the negative sentiments a lifetime in Israel gave to her regarding the Arab community.

Sahar, daughter of a renowned Palestinian peace activist Nuha Nafal, discusses her decision to abandon her anger and frustration with the war and move into a different mentality: one of forgiveness and acceptance.

These are two women redefining stereotypes and encouraging the global community to take the road less traveled: one of acceptance.

In the meantime, feel free to check out the new 50 Women Project You Tube channel. I will be adding videos of some of the women who were interviewed for the book “50 Women” from some of their past speaking engagements.

Sahar and Tzvia’s efforts can be followed on Facebook at: The Gift of Acceptance fanpage
